Requirements
Absolutely reliable: poor attendance for any reason means termination.
Absolutely clean criminal record (company policy AND state law, not open for negotiation).
Read, write, understand and speak American English clearly on the telephone. You Must also have good reading & writing skills (grammar/spelling/etc.)
Familiarity with computer is required; you must also be a decent typist; a minimum of 20wpm is required.
Available for all shifts (no part-timers, you can’t work other jobs, go to night school, etc.)
Schedule
During training, Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm (approx. 2 to 3 weeks)
After training, new employees are assigned to open shifts in order of seniority, but ALL dispatchers MUST be available for ALL shifts.
Schedule does not change after that, except by mutual consent of management AND all employees involved.
Overtime is not normally available. Under normal conditions, all Dispatchers work 40 hours/week no more, no less.
Pay
$7 per hour during training
Immediate raise to $8.00 after OJT is complete.
Raise to $9.20 after state license obtained (must be licensed within 90 days of hire). State licensing fees (~$300) paid by company.
