Structured Cabling |
In the past, home wiring used poor quality cable & connections, susceptible to interference and noise. Even recently, most TV wiring makes use of RG59 coaxial cable, which has little shielding and allows only moderate bandwidth.
Today’s Modern Home Wiring uses three main components:
A Central Hub- the point at which all services are accepted and distributed through the home; High performance Cabling-(CAT5 & RG6 “Quad Shield”) supports hundreds of channels and digital data. Used for Cable TV, digital satellite, cable modem & high speed interactive video services. This cable has a high immunity to interference. All cables are home-run to the Central Hub, instead of being daisy-chained; High Quality Outlets- designed specifically for advanced data services, these are where your devices connect to the system
Whole-House Video:
Any video input can be viewed on a specific channel on any TV in the home
DVD & VCR programs can be viewed on any TV
Front door camera allows screening for possible intruders at the door
Camera mounted in baby’s room can be monitored from any room of the house
